The Travel company and Johnstown, PA welcomes the
Business and professional women's annual CONVENTION!
Johnstown was founded in 1800 by Swiss immigrant Joseph Johns and located where Stony Creek and Little Conemaugh rivers join to form the Conemaugh River. The Conemaugh River is immediately downstream of Johnstown and is hemmed in by steep mountainsides for about 10 miles.
Johnstown is most known for several disasters such as the three floods in 1889, 1936 and 1977, the Quecreek mine collapse on July 24, 2002 and most recently Flight 93 on Sept 11. However, we who call Johnstown our home, prefer to use those disasters to grow as a community. We will always honor the people who lost their lives as well as those who lived.
We take great pride in our ethic background and our community has always overcome the worst disasters, man made or natural.
We welcome the BPW to our hometown and are looking forward to sharing our history with you.

On Saturday June 12, 2015 The Travel Company working with the Johnstown Convention & Visitors Bureau has put together a tour to show members of the BPW a few of the many attractions the Johnstown area has to offer. We will be leaving the Holiday Inn at 2:00 PM and boarding a bus which will take us a very short distance to the Incline Plane, the Flood Museum and the the Bottle Works for a art show and a sample of some of our local wines provided by B & L Wine Cellars. Click the buttons below for more information on each of the locations we will be visiting.
