How many sets of keys do I need to provide?
U.S. Department of Transportation requires that customers should provide one set of keys for the vehicle, including the ignition, trunk, and glove box.

Should I remove my antennas?
All antennas including temporary ones should all be removed or lowered.

Should I wash my car before Transport?
We ask that all customers provide a clean vehicle; this allows us to do a quick and fair evaluation of the vehicle.  This,of course, does not mean you must detail your vehicle.  We just need to see any damage your vechicle may have proir to transport

What should I do about the alarms on my vehicle?
Be sure to turn off all alarms. If the vehicle requires special instructions to start, please let us know. We are not responsible for any drained batteries or other mechanical problems resulting if the alarm was not turned off before transport.

What should be done with the racks on my vehicle?
All racks that are not permanently attached to the car should be removed..

What about any damage that my vehicle has before Vehicle Transporters? \
We will not be responsible for any pre-existing nicks, scratches, chips, cracks, or other imperfections already on the vehicle before transport.

How should I prepare my vehicle for the climate?

Can I put personal items in the vehicle?
By law, vehicle transport companies are not permitted to transport personal belongings, as they do not have a household goods transportation license. By violating this law we can be fined up to $10,000 per occurrence. In addition, if you were to place things in the car, they would not be covered by insurance and all the damages made to the items or made to your vehicle by the items would not be the responsiblity of Quality Transport or The Travel Company

Pickup/Delivery Locations
Make sure the locations for pickup and delivery are accessible to large trailers. This way the trucks can easily move around without damaging other cars that are still left on the trailer. If you are not sure please ask the dispatcher.  We can make arragements to drop your vechicle off at a large parking area like a mall or Lowes.

What forms of payment are accepted?
Cash, cashier check, money orders. No personal checks will be accepted. Payment must be received prior to delevery of vehicle.  Major credit cards are accepted with a 5% service fee.  The name on the charge will be The Travel Company

Are you insured? Yes. Our insurance covers the value of any vehicle that we transport.  Vehicle transport insurance only covers damages that we do to the exterior of the vehicle.  Interior or mechanical damage are not covered because we are only inside to drive your vehicle on and off our trailer.

What is the difference between open and enclosed carrier
Open Carrier
This is vehicle transport that does not protect your vehicle from the elements. Your vehicle is exposed to the weather, but more vehicles can be fit  on the truck and this lowers the cost. Damages from the elements are rare, but can occur. Most people are willing to take the small risk to save a considerable amount of money.  This is similar to what you see dropping of vehicles at dealerships.
Enclosed Carrier
This protects your vehicle from the elements. Going enclosed can protect your vehicle from weather, rocks and theft. In most cases, the cost will double what it would cost to ship on an open trailer. This is mainly used  with high end vehicles.
