After clearing immigration and customs and exchanging currency for CUC at the Jose Marti International Airport in Havana, you will be greeted by our local Cuban guide who will escort you to your lodging for the start your Cuban adventure. After checking into your local Casa, you will have the chance to relax before starting your Havana adventure. Visit the Ambos Mundos to see the handwritten notes from Hemingway and see the Capitol building light up the night. Have a mojito on the rooftop terrace at the Inglaterra hotel which was built in 1875.

Enjoy a typical Cuban breakfast freshly prepared by the owners of your casa. Spend the day exploring the city of Havana with our private guide. Visit some of the most historic places in Havana including the Plaza do la Revolucion as well some more modern places such as the National Aquarium. Visit the replicas of famous artwork on the outside fences at the Castillo do la Real Fuerza and see the Christ of Havana across the water. Have lunch at a local paladar. Your guide will suggest some of his favorites. Dinner this evening will be at one of the famous local fine dinning paladars personally chosen by our local guide.

Cross the drawbridge and explore the Castillo de la Real Furerza, stroll along the El Malecon and enjoy the experience of the Plaza Vieja. Take time to explore the local shops and talk to local artisans and learn about everyday life in Cuba. The night will include a trip with dinner to the famous Havana cabaret where you will be entertained by the skill and costumes of the performers.
After enjoying your second Cuban breakfast, you will spend the day exploring more of the city of Havana. Following breakfast, we will have one of two last Cuba adventures. If the Hemingway house is open and guides are available we will see Hemingway's Cuban home. If not we will head to one of the most popular beach areas of Havana and spend the day with the locals to learn firsthand about their life in Cuba. Your evening will be filled with a classic car tour including a trip to Morro Castle for the cannon firing ceremony. On the way back to our casa we will stop by the Floridita for a farewell daquiri (First drink on us)at Hemingway's favorite watering hole.

Leave Havana and head back to the Jose Marti International Airport for your flight back to the USA. Don't forget to exchange any Cuban money, you will not be able to exchange it anywhere else.

Please remember that much of Cuba is not as "up-to-date" as other countries. Things run at a much slower pace then most people are used to. Communication is a very slow and time consuming process. You must take a sense of adventure with you when traveling to Cuba. As much as we pre-plan everything for you, there are times things must change at the last minute. We hope that this does not happen, but if it does relax and enjoy the experience and do not not let it be the only thing you remember about this beautiful country.
